Asset FilteringOpen

The available filters for assets are very restrictive. You can't filter by any customised field, and you can't filter by the date of the last inspection. We have thousands of assets we want to load up in the system but there is no way to see what's been done in a month or previous month/s. There is no way to bulk schedule inspections either - we have to configure an inspection for every asset individually. Even better would be a function to set a minimum inspection interval for an asset (e.g. weekly, every month, every 3 months) and then have a filter to show what is due/overdue/completed.

At the moment there is no way when in assets to filter by last inspection first and vice versa. This is important when sharing and prioritising with a live view. It would assist the view ability also for auditing purposes

I’d like to be able to exclude certain users from training analytics. I still need them to be part of certain groups/sites so they can access other features, but they don’t need to complete certain training so need them excluded from analytics by group/site.

Status as "unapproved" within Approval workflowsNew

Hi all! Would it not be awesome to have the status “unapproved” available? Because as managers, we can only see inspections with the status: Completed Incomplete But how so we know if it is because we haven’t yet approved or we did go through the inspection but we cannot give our Go ? Could we have the status “unapproved” available? and eventially could it lead to an action plan?

Hello SC Community! We are currently looking to improve some of our scheduling of our longer cadence inspections. For instance, we have a cadence set to conduct a monthly wash & inspection on our trailers. These need to completed at any point within the month, as time allows, as trailers are in and out of our yard inconsistently. One call out from our drivers/operators is that they cannot see which inspections are due farther out than one week. This leads to a chance that we may miss a trailer or two until the last week, where it may not be possible to get them washed in that timeframe. The idea would that be for an assigned audit, we can filter past the 7 days, so they can see a longer term window of inspections due. This would also benefit custom schedules and anything planned farther than 7 days out, such as our biweekly inspections. Please let me know if I am missing anything or if there is some clever workaround that I may not have considered. Thanks! -Kyle

Our Supervisors use a handover template, which they duplicate and update weekly at shift change. Its a live document that they update on an ongong basis. They would like to be able to use differnet colour fonts to be able to more easily differentiate between each other updates, questions and respones.

Sites use can be applied in many different ways, for our use case sites mean a location. Our locations have a range of different information that if available to be linked to each site could either be: Available to users that have direct or inherited membership Available to the platform features to leverage Just keep in mind at times there could be times when both will need it We should be able to define what fields make sense for either user, platform or both as it will be unique for each organisation. User facing The aim of user facing data is to allow access to information that intends to make the user’s day a little bit easier buy having all the info about their area of responsibility in one location. There is quite a list, but some examples of this information could be: An address - Navigate to the location by tapping Phone number - Network Manager could tap the site details page and call from tapping What direct site members are there and what roles they have (role idea post to follow...) Platform facing The aim of platform facing data is the allow features to leverage the information to automate or enhance a user experience in the background and drive relevancy. (also remove the function of groups to try and achieve this) Some examples of this information could be: Roles - what roles are at this location and the people associated with them Geolocation - when a user is near the geofence, any schedules, actions etc. that are relevant are surfaced for that individual on their mobile app Characteristics - Information that may be useful to allow a more targeted selection of locations for features Schedules - you could use a field(s) to really dial in where you need schedules to target e.g. Types of locations - When scheduling, you could define that you would like a certain schedule to be assigned to a store format type Actions - use a field to target actions to certain characteristics to assign actions Status - if the site status is Open, Closed (temp), Closed (perm) then if there are actions, schedules assigned to the sites and their members, they could be paused if moved into the temp closed status With platform facing I think that there may be reason to connect site fields with roles for assignment purposes - e.g. assign an action to all Self Service Terminal locations to the Manager role. Overall I would hope that improvements in this space would drive the want to keep data associated with sites up to date, and increase time within platform making it more relevant to gain information needed need for your day to day.

Dates (both actions and Issues) It would be nice to have a reminder date on both issues and actions i.e. I want to finish this action/issue on Aril 30th but the next time have to do something or want to be reminded to look at this is April 10th. Followers/ Viewers (both actions and Issues) Assignees is great (the people who are responsible for fixing this issue) It would be nice to also have followers i.e. people who want to see the progress but are not responsible for completion their might need to be two levels (view only and edit) the use case here is Bob reports an issue with Machine 1 (he can see the issue) it gets assigned to maintenance (they can see the issue) but bob’s shift lead and the other shift leads can’t we don't want to add all of them as an assignee because they are not responsible for working on it but they do need to see that it’s open and maybe make comments on it. They need to see that it open because they are likely under temporary operating procedure till the issues it repaired i.e. the can’t run at over 2000 RPM till the issue is resolved the other use case is if the shift lead can see the issue, and someone on his shift says hey we have a problem with machine 1 they can say we already have an issue with that ID# I’ll add a comment to ask to escalate the issue or that it’s getting work note the shift lead is still not responsible for completing the task Assest (issues) it would be nice to have the option to tag issues to an asset

Would any of the Community join me in thinking that the introduction of a "duplicate item" function within Safety Culture's template system would be a good idea? As a fire door inspector, I frequently assess multiple doors that are identical or nearly identical, with only minor variations. Currently, I have to re-enter the same information manually for each new item, which is both time-consuming and inefficient. A duplicate item feature would allow users to copy the details from the previous item and make necessary amendments, significantly improving workflow efficiency. To illustrate: within a single inspection, I often complete over 100 questions per door, with most answers remaining the same apart from a few adjustments. Without a duplication option, I must scroll back and manually cross-check my previous entries, which is not only tedious but also introduces the risk of inconsistencies. A quick review of my recent fire door inspection templates confirms how frequently data repeats across items. I therefore strongly believe that a duplicate and amend function would benefit not just fire door inspectors but many professionals using Safety Culture for similar structured assessments.

Option to turn flagged item review step on inspection completion OFFUnder consideration

Is there anyway to toggle flagged items review at the completion of an inspection? In some of our templates this feature is an excellent reminder / tool, however in others we wish to still have some responses flagged for analytics purposes without confusing users who may not be well versed in actions / not understand that this step isn’t required for this type of inspection. Unsure if there is an easy solution or not!

Hello! Apologies if these have been brought up before, but I’m getting to know the Assets tool and have some ideas that would make it much more user-friendly for my organization: Visibly show which asset types use each field so admins can more easily tell if they should modify an existing field or create a new one Have a dropdown/multiselect/radio button option for asset fields to simplify input and avoid typos The ability to manually arrange fields so they display in an order that makes sense rather than always alphabetically A simple hierarchy structure that establishes 1-3 levels of parent/child relationships among assets I’ll probably have more ideas as I dive in deeper, but wanted to get these out there while they’re fresh in my mind. Thanks!

Missed Inspections - Admin Ability to mark as not missedNew

I would like to see the ability for Admin to be able to adjust missed inspections. When there is a public holiday, equipment isn’t used, or a Tropical Cyclone appeared :) we could not adjust the scheduled inspections to be accepted. This means our analytics are not accurate. This applies to when our staff have marked inspections as ‘not doing’ as well. Thanks, Sian

1. So asset. Where do I start? Still very rough around the edges. But a glitch that needs ironing out quickly is as follows as it will create issues IMO going forward. Let assume I have 2000 assets. And also 20 sites. Of which some of these are linked to groups and teams. So i go to the Asset Tab. I create and choose to start an inspection for that asset. Now my issues is that the assets for the site/group should only be visible in order that a simple process with less choice and chance for error is done. However what currently happens if i am correct is that a user of site A Goes to Asset Tab.They are then presented by ALL the assets for the org? This feels totally wrong.We are trying to reduce information and collate and control access to information surely by having site and the access features etc for the sites and groups. This should be imo asset are only visible for the person looking who is a member of the site or group. They then simply complete and hey ho simples. This is a key feature that is missing I THINK. ========================================================================= 2. Assets So going to asset tab and starting an inspection works. However although we can link templates etc to assets the templates themselves again IMO have another gap. At the moment the response set for assets can only be chosen in the Title field of a template as a choice from the response set. I get that as in a way the title area is an index related part of the templates. However for all of us now that have been using SC for some time surely for flexibility it would have been a great thing to have the response set available throughout the template. Then when we are in a section or already in used templates we can add the asset as a response in the template - the persons completing inspection chooses (based on their site and group profiles) and then this is collated in the records against that asset. Any feedback or solutions more than appreciated.
