Add dept level in sitesNew

In Site we are currently using Region and Site, but we could do with a layer below sites, “Depts”, This would enable us to group our employees together in their respective depts/functions. We could then link this to permissions so they can only view things applicable to their dept, it would be easier for staff in them depts to view just their assets and inspections and minimise seeing forms from other depts that they will never use

Credentials / Training QR CodeNew

Are there any plans to allow QR codes to be allocated to each User’s Credentials and Training profile. The way I see this feature being used would be to have the QR code displayed on a employee ID card that could be scanned, by an approved user group, to validate that the operative has the correct, valid, credentials/training for the tasks they are performing. Make Reporting Issues Faster and More InformingUnder consideration

Our company uses STOP or similar paper cards to report good catches, safety near misses, quality and food safety concerns, damage, etc. A few sites are using a SafetyCulture inspection template to rid of the paper system. I have been trying to push using the Issues feature, but it’s not quite baked in a way that makes it a proper replacement. They should be very fast to report, provide understandable and consistent information, not add complexity to managing, and be differentiated from Actions. I’m sure we’d think of more ideas once we started using issues, but I think the things below would push us to start. Some ideas below:Issues Category Settings A category option to require adding the site. This allows for proper access, automated notifications, and filtering the list. Currently people forget to add it. Per probing question, an option to require that question be answered when submitting. Many of the questions we need answered to understand the Issue and they aren’t always fil

GPS location added to the [Inspection Title]New

I figured out, that it is possible to add any sort of objects to the [InspectionTitle] in the editor-tool. Simple answers like a Mulitple Choice answer of Yes & No could be added into it, the document number, whatever. Unfortunately, you cannot add the GPS location onto the [InspectionTitle], which is in our pov a nice little feature,as you can refer directly to the location where the inspection have been done.

We require Swell and Seas to be monitored in SC and alerts activated on conditions at sea.We rely on a Ferry service that is cancelled if the swell or seas go over a certain limit.

Would it be possible to add site drawings to the sites, so when undertaking an inspection we can drop a pin onto a drawing to show the exact location of the hazard, so users also have a visual location rather than room number or area

Capturing asset readings from inspections - Idea ImprovementsNot planned

1. The timestamp associated with a value entered does not align with the “Conducted on:” date. If I need to resubmit an inspection that is from a past date, the system updates the value with the current submission date instead of keeping the original inspection date. In my opinion, the timestamp should match the “Conducted on:” question. Otherwise, it creates an issue where a value can appear current even though it is from a long time ago.2. I need to add an additional unit of measure, such as “pieces” or “units”. A currency of € or $ would also be nice, or the ability to create a custom unit of measure.3. There is currently no way to add a new value from an inspection to the last value linked to the asset. This means that there is no way to enter a value during an inspection and automatically add it to the previous entry to show an updated total. Or even to be able to perform calculations with the last value recorded.

How to get real-time services record by services providers through SafetyCulture AppNew

Dear SafetyCulture Developing Team, First of all, thank you very much for providing such a great platform for conducting the inspections and raising issues, etc. A new feature is that contractor company management is very good and will be much more useful if you can add service treatment records through an app or QR code to avoid the usage of papers.We have service providers that provide different services (pest control, fumigation, maintenance, etc.) to our warehouses in different cities in Saudi Arabia. Our sustainability goal requires us to move toward paperless processes and record-keeping across the organization as well as with third parties. I have some newer users and users that only access the templates from time to time and they don’t always understand what is asked.We all know that a picture speaks a thousand words.If we could like a picture to a question via a “i” for information that will then pop up and shows more details of what is asked or an example it would be a great help.You could also think of text as information with a large description of what the user should look for

Tracking asset cost readings (Repairs, Maintenance, Production Downtime)Open

Using the same functionality just launched for meter readings / run-time hours, could there also be a way of tracking costs associated with an asset, for example, tracking total downtime due to faults and keeping a tally of repair costs? This may allow my clients to determine whether it is best (more cost-effective/safer) to replace the asset rather than making regular repairs.

I’ve found the Asset Readings function to be a really useful feature. I’m wondering if it would be possible to advance this feature by allowing the units measured to include mass/weight (kg, tonne) and volume (litres, millilitres). It would be great if these units could be updated dynamically using linked inspections, just like the existing feature for odometer and runtime readings.By allowing users to choose from a wider range of units, this enhancement would provide a comprehensive solution for accurately managing assets that use measurements other than just odometer and runtime.Thanks for considering this request!

It would be nice to have the option to make this field read-only to remove the very likely chance for someone completing the inspection to override the pre-filled value in the form field.

Translation of templates

I recently started trialling template translation. I translated a template into Dutch and asked one of our Belgium team members to run through it.It actually worked extremely well. The team member completed the inspection in Dutch, the end report and our view via SC was in English. A great step forward.There is one problem though. Quite often, we send the completed reports to clients so would need them in Dutch. Is there anyway to do this?

General query for discussion / help. We are wanting to move our assets on Sc from the QR code to NFC or better.We are having issues as we work in construction where items are prone to weather and other conditions in use that can render some QR codes ineffective.We have looked at NFC tags but need feedback from the community on other ways to utilise technology with methods such as NFC. We used some NFC tags but basically had to tap on then with some part of your phone / device and this worked intermittently. Does anyone have a tried and tested method that will make this easier. The goal is to be stood near the equipment and then be able to pick it up without having to locate a QR code. If this can be done from distance the this would be safe and more effective especially in poorer conditions and would be much safer. Again. The challenge is for the community to feedback. Any assistance would b appreciated.

Bulk upload for 3rd party actions/recommendationsNew

I’m aware actions are supposed to be produced by completing inspections but a lot of my clients receive 3rd party reports (Fire risk assessments, Racking inspections, etc) which contain multiple actions and recommendations, which then have to be individually copied and pasted into the action area (incredibly time-consuming, can take hours). Is there a way of speeding up this process for importing actions from 3rd parties?

Can We Create an On Site/Off Site Toggle for AssetsPlanned

Hi SafetyCulture Team,I would love it if we could have some kind of toggle for Assets to show they’re on site or off site. Is there any possibility to have the tracking functionality switched off when an Asset is toggled to off site?The reason I ask is that we deal with a lot of Contractors equipment that we are adding to the Asset function to enable tracking of inspections etc. and position although we don’t want this function when an Asset has left site. I’m not sure if this is possible or is already available? I haven’t seen it anywhere so I thought I would make the suggestion.Kind RegardsJames

Hi, I am a new user and have now been informed by SC Support that numbers answers cannot be shown in analytics, nor can I view specific templates and their answers in analytics to enable me to see trends etc. Is this correct and if so why does the system even have a calculation facility.

Training, Competencies and Plans

Would like feedback about having a training plan register etc in SC.This is not a matrix but a plan for other training that is outside SC - such a national training courses / licenses.These would be excellent linked or part of the Credentials Family that also links into Sc training etc. We are looking at reviewing our core personnel now and developing them from within the Sc system in order that we use 1 system.This would link to Skills and be an attribute for experience and behaviours. We are on a drive to show and be accountable for Competency Registers not only for core personnel but also contractors so this would help.

Can you remove/delete actions automatically from an inspection that is being deleted?

Hi all, Not sure if this should be a Question, Discussion or Idea but keen to understand if you can have any linked actions to an inspection that is being deleted, automatically removed/deleted as well?We have a client that is an intensive user of Actions (100,000+). Over time, some inspections are deemed incorrect so they need to be deleted including any associated or linked Actions.If this is not possible, perhaps a pop-up option that asks the user if they want to keep or delete any actions linked to the inspection (that is being deleted)?
