Multiple Choice responsesNew

JUst a thought on some of our more intricate QA Templates we have a plethora of Multiple Choice Responses relating to people, areas etc.Can we please have a sort tool if required so that numbers and letters can be sorted A_z or Z-A etc.This would save time from the current sorting process.Also. Any item added in multiple choice where red is designated as the colour indicates high risk, score, potential threat and so on.Red is risk and high danger globally so this imo should be a default or an option to choose as the colour indicating High - Med and Low.Example would be traffic lights-Red-Amber-Green Ta John

SC Certified

Hi. I did this course and passed when it first came out but cannot find certification. This was prior to training being a tab and embedded in SC system? Can someone advise where these are retained within my account given it was before the course was in training?

Asset control and expansion of the controlsNew

We are using this now on all of our projects. It is currently good but I think it could be better by having an expansion method so instead of the current 3 choices of content for the asset there are more options like you have within the inspection templates. As an example Companies that are leasing or hiring lots of equipment on a regular basis. In the list of choices if there was the ability to add some kind of logic then this would be a massive change to allow items that are off hired to be auto archived and then then controlled. So if the item was to be unarchived then this could only be done by a person with Manage Assets Permissions. Currently personnel that are managing assets can create them and should be able to archive imo without having manage asset rights. So for an item then to be unarchived becomes a unique scenario and become autonomous for asset management. I do understand this is not simple and it could even be something simple that could be added when a label is added

Analytics and Dashboards.

Just a quick heads up. Having looked at what you have changed and moved into the system I feel the transition and build of the platform for data analysis needs to be constant in the way you build and link things.Example...Edapps was bought by SC (great acquisition).Training is now via the Micro eLearning side of the system.This has its own tab for the right reasons…Get that and it should. Don't have an issue with what it is and what it does. However.THe platform does have an area that is the brains for data collation and manipulation and this needs to remain the same area.Here Dashboards and visulas for simple analysis and review / validation can be custom built via the Early Release of Dashboards.This also needs to include being able to pull Training Data into a Dashboard. WHY?Because it is all linked to the planning, scheduling, monitoring, activities checks, site checks, process checks, actions created, issues raised training required, credentials expanded and so on.So whether the D

credentials

Is there a current way to add credentials for premium users whilst using the app? All can click the plus button but this gives you 5 options only. Being able to add and update your profile on the move would be great. Even better would be to update others in your team for admins etc or users with the ability to update training and other info for users within the Organisation from a smart device and tablet. Regards John

BILLING Edapps

Can anyone shed some light why the current Billing Process for Edapps side of SC is so poor an vague?It is basic. Doe not flow.It is really not what I would expect when building a platform for users to access and complete based on users - cost? Can someone at Edapps or SC involved with this reply in order that my query can be answered and improvement made that give customers the right information at the right time? Regards

Training?

I have been building Various training courses on SC and Edapps.However imo there is a slight glitch in that the training completed is not accessible in view only mode for personnel. Admin in SC is imo the highest tier of SC orf control and too many admins can create issues.So whether building templates or creating courses the Org MUST have protocols for access rights that fit and reduce the ability where required for example for people to build template / edit templates that is a given.The same applies to Training an building courses which imo in most cases need to be vetted by the org as this in most cases will be a validated learning event - hence certification. However there also in the Training Side of Sc needs to be an Access part that can enable certain personnel or groups to view the training completed by being able to access the training analytics and look at the plans, what courses have been completed and so on. As Org grow and more personnel/ employees / Contractors ae within

Translation

The ability to communicate better with SC for personnel and other contractor where we have varied languages.On our construction sites we have a vast array of personnel at varying levels of competence.Lots of them are from other regions in the world and their first language is not english. We cover BTs and Briefings as well as site inspections, heads ups, and Issues...but the gap is communication and understanding by the persons from the other backgrounds. As a KPI we want a way to get this across and also record this.We want to do this hopefully in SC when Contractor Management becomes an included part of the portal…When is this going to be looked at and is translation part of this?

Assets

Is there a way to do the following? Have permission set in Sc so that the following can be applied.After checking I cannot get this to work. Prevent Asset categories from being Deleted - However still need the personnel to edit assets but not delete etc. At the moment if I have read this correctly the options do not allow this.A person can create an asset and then edit or delete.I am looking for the ability to create and edit only. Any deletion will be done by person with more permission set access. Any feedback is appreciated?

Assets

Is there a way to show assets when in the assets Tabs that are specific to the site with regards to the number of assets. There is a filter for Site and Type. This works well.But just want the number of assets that were on a site.The Tab totals at the top show total number of assets? Also as previously mentioned big difference between owned and hired, so if there was a better way of sorting and analysing this then it would streamline this variation. Any feedback appreciated?

Credential and SC eLearning - TrainingNew

Surely there must be an automatic way that when a learner completes any eLearning via training tab that the Credential is updated to include this. I am sure that this will help system and be a plus for building competence?

Asset QR Code scan

With regards to Assets.In our industry Construction we have a 50/50 mix of owned versus hired.Generally the hired ones are normally more expensive and may be for higher risk activities or specialist equipment. With regards to QR Codes we apply to these assets. We can scan etc and then inspect, handover or add action and so on.Which is brilliant. However our supply chain is always that we are a sub-contractor working on a project site with other subbies and all under a main contractor (Principal Contractor - under CDM) What is the plan or is there a way to collaborate in the supply chain so that the PCs representatives can scan the item and without having SC app or similar a view only visual appears that basically shows the items and other non-sensitive information relating to it?   Also.At the moment there have been some issues with the SC QR Scanner not working? Can this be reviewed and a solution found?

Competency

We are currently wanting to embed competence into our system and wanted some solutions in SC. When is the next roll out relating to contractors, contractor management and the link with training.This relates to Skills, Experience and Knowledge. We are looking at trying to have a live feed within SC that supports this as part of our push for a competency matrix and demonstration of the Golden Thread.

Assets owned or hired?

Has anyone used this similar to Construction Sites where there are;Owned Assets Hired AssetsThere is a difference and when we add these to our system there needs to be a shift in what the asset does and its route and also for hired assets ability to remove from site / project so that the hired v owned work differently?

CV - Case Study

As part of the Golden Thread Drive.Is competency for all contractors going to be part of the journey? At the moment credentials cover 4 things?Training is awareness and assets links to equipment.There should be a protected area where the ability and training along with knowledge can be recorded as part of a drive to excellence by showing abilities and also where required the CV / Resume (live) for personnel. This then drives best practise and would link into the other SC tabs and integrations.

QR Codes.New

Not sure if this has been mentioned but given the scale and size of SC, i would have thought that an internal or collaborative tool could be put in place or developed for the following. Creation of QR codes for everything that relates to a record.Already in place for many things, however if a qr code generator (recorded and linked in the Sc system) was a vailable then there would be dynamic linking of information and the org in general. I am thinking further afield with regards to Pdf and docs that we want or expect are communicated at the workplace and where personnel are undertaking routine tasks but they are not SC users.Therefore we can pin an instruction within a qr code etc in the  area they are working that explains what is required. There is a lot mor than just this and it also link with training and the full cycle for an org with regards to records, golden thread and competency / collaboration. Currently if i am in asset i cannot scan within the SC app for the asset i have to

Been posted before but wanted to resurrect a massive and vital missing piece of the Sc jigsaw.This relates to People from outside the Org being able to sign a special response set area - where it is an inspection etc that is audited , reviewed or validated by a third party that can be at the inspection but more often that not they are remote. We do hundreds of QA inspection that require sign off from main contractors.A special signatory feature or similar would be the icing on the cake.

Site/group-based access for asset + support multiple asset selection per inspectionNew

1.So asset.Where do I start?Still very rough around the edges.But a glitch that needs ironing out quickly is as follows as it will create issues IMO going forward. Let assume I have 2000 assets.And also 20 sites.Of which some of these are linked to groups and teams. So i go to the Asset Tab.I create and choose to start an inspection for that asset.Now my issues is that the assets for the site/group should only be visible in order that a simple process with less choice and chance for error is done.However what currently happens if i am correct is that a user of site AGoes to Asset Tab.They are then presented by ALL the assets for the org?This feels totally wrong.We are trying to reduce information and collate and control access to information surely by having site and the access features etc for the sites and groups. This should be imo asset are only visible for the person looking who is a member of the site or group.They then simply complete and hey ho simples. This is a key feature th

Logic field condition: If not all responses have been selected for a multiple-choice questionNew

JUst another thought really ref logic and response. On some question and response sets where there are mandatory provisions we wanted to have a response set choice that leads to using the logic function when the following i s required. Not all the multiple responses have been chosen hence the logic kicks in and requires more info or triggers an action. This was to simplify and reduce number of questions etc by having this trigger the fail, action or logic trigger.Again is this something that SC can either look at or feedback about if there is a better way around this?

Thoughts on best ways to link assets with inspections

Well.Just been onto SC advisors and again had an issue that turns out to be another great idea? So assets. The QR code use for these and profiles and asset types defo the way to go.However like lots of orgs we have been inspecting mechanical and other equipment and tools for some time. We have IMO as an org developed / built some great templates (Me).So these templates for assets (not telematics or sensors) are already there.Assets gets released and then we can categorise and all of a sudden there is a level above what we were used to.Build the assets and add types etc. Link to sites, add the QR code and happy days?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well no..When scanning the asset QR code we can then see the asset.Firstly sometimes when opening the APP and then Assets and trying to scan the asset it does not work (inside SC) hence the camera or QR Code Reader App is required.  When at Asset in

With regards to many companies.Whether a manufacturing one or if it is in construction and related to projects - a key interaction is the first one with employees, contractors and visitors. INDUCTIONS (or Introductions - for employees) THese are aimed at the first messages, instructions and information with someone new to the company, site or project.It is a very important message and interaction as it delivers key aspects, hazards, controls and information that will assist the target audience.It will drive key messages.I feel that this area should be explored further by Sc with regards to linking with…Training, Assets (people being the main one) also assets in use or on sites that are planned for use and interaction, the ability to link Micro eLearning with Inductions.SC bringing something new to the table that moves away from full paid users but tags anyone that may enter the company or project with a unique identifier whilst ensuring control and protection of personal data and infor

Improvement for training course translationsNew

Translation??? There is imo an issue with the translation of courses in Edapp.Yes there will not be 100% consistency for full interpretation i get that .However i have realised the following which imo needs addressing NOW. When a course is created and lets assume the native language is English.Using AI and Translate can duplicate the course in other languages.Fantastic? No.Because they are not linked in any way after translation.Therefore as per my found issue…Course created with 6 lessons - 5 eLearning - leading to the final lesson which is an on site practical.When building the original in English then translating, an issue was found that meant certificates were available after completing lessons 1-5. This was corrected and then the lesson including lesson 6 were required prior to certificate being issued. Therefore i assumed that this was the case for the translated courses also. I have now found that they are not linked and the translation is only when it was translated.Again IMO t

View which templates are available to sites and groupsNew

I wanted to very quickly see what templates were available to sites and groups etc without going into permissions and then then trawling through using this process. Surely this should replicate the ones that are already in place for the site and groups when you can look at a matrix of who is a member of what site. This would be more transparent instead of going to each user or looking at permission etc.A template matrix for sites should be something to look at as a matrix as this can then be reviewed as some sites for varied reasons will require access to different templates in different orgs.As below example but for templates...

Wellbeing (out of hours linked to org, site or users settings)New

I did ask this a while ago but want to follow up.I am a safety specialist in the UK helping companies by assisting with and building the integrated systems.SC is one of those but as part of the integration side unless i have missed it there is something missing that I would like to challenge SC to resolve or show me where the solution is. Different companies have different working patterns which can even be down to an individuals work pattern.What i would like ( a bit like Calendars etc ) is something in the Org setting that give general hours of work for the company or driving down to groups and sites etc.Then when any internal notification is in place by the SC portal it sends it at a convenient time - unless it is tagged or labelled as critical or similar as an over ride. The reason is my teams are complaining that they are getting lots of out of hours notifications or at time that are 3am etc when they work daylight std hours.If you can look into this then it will fit into our well
