With regards to many companies.

Whether a manufacturing one or if it is in construction and related to projects - a key interaction is the first one with employees, contractors and visitors.

INDUCTIONS (or Introductions - for employees)

THese are aimed at the first messages, instructions and information with someone new to the company, site or project.
It is a very important message and interaction as it delivers key aspects, hazards, controls and information that will assist the target audience.

It will drive key messages.
I feel that this area should be explored further by Sc with regards to linking with…

Training, Assets (people being the main one) also assets in use or on sites that are planned for use and interaction, the ability to link Micro eLearning with Inductions.

SC bringing something new to the table that moves away from full paid users but tags anyone that may enter the company or project with a unique identifier whilst ensuring control and protection of personal data and information.

Lets assume a company works in the big world of projects.
They have lots of personnel (not their own) who will pass through the gates to undertake or be part of the project.

If we could get them to register via a system (locked down for GDPR) then we have a mechanism for approval - it may include various trades by where some hae certain caveats or training etc where part of registration includes providing evidence with certification.

All of a sudden we start to get to the core of the companies general operation and people.

We link this so that we can then have triggers that either allow or stop someone from accessing or starting an activity.

We have a central location or database that assist with this process.

We engage more with all our resources.

We include our supply chain in this process as a resource.

Bit by bit by doing some of the above ….

We can spread the net further, have improved the transparency and collaborated with key personnel either making decisions or carrying out important responsible activities, supervising activities or the end work building and fitting the things to make the operation or project work.

Potentially exciting times if SC get it right.

Hi Johnny,

Thank you for the detailed insights here. I’m pleased to share that a key priority for us this year is to improve our inductions offering. I’d love to hear more about your ideas for connecting assets to inductions. Would you be open to a research call to discuss further?

Many thanks,

Giustina
