With this release, you can now:

  • Limit reporter access to issues once they have been submitted.

What you’ll love about this new functionality

Depending on the types of issues being reported and monitored in your organization, you may not want reporters to have ongoing visibility of the information submitted or access to updates as issues are managed.

Report only access for an issue category allows users to report an issue without the ability to view or edit it afterwards.

With report only access, you can:

  • Capture observations without providing ongoing updates: Report only access ensures your team isn’t being distracted with updates they don’t need to receive.
  • Control what stays need-to-know: With the ability to manage reporter access at the category level you can apply report only access to sensitive categories and allow visibility for others.
  • Keep the investigation in one place: Add additional evidence, documentation and updates to your issues without risk of exposing confidential information to the reporter.

How to get started with the new release

You can manage ‘report only’ access for issues categories via the web app. Read our support article for details.

Just one thing.

Reporters are reporters and not users.

Anyone who scans the issues QR code can report an issue hence they are not a user.

Users are full, lite or free.

Just thought this needed correcting.

Great update though especially for issues.

We now need this for actions.

As was mentioned in earlier posts all lagging indicators may lead to information that needs locking down.

Example an accident that is severe and requires controlled internal completion from specific persons.

Yes I know we can do groups etc but just think we need a CONFIDENTIAL STAMP. This then starts to segregate and control how we close actions etc.

Idea for System Enhancement: Enabling Access for Incident Involvement

In situations where an incident is reported by a manager/ supervisor, it’s essential to allow all individuals involved (field workers with restricted access) —especially those who may need to complete follow-up documentation , such as inspections or reports—access to the relevant records.

Currently, if one person logs the issue notification on behalf of someone involved, they are unable to access the record unless they have “management access. “

Challenge: We need a system that allows an injured worker (or anyone directly involved in the incident) to access and complete documentation related to their incident, even if they did not personally log the initial notification.

Proposed Solution: The system could be enhanced to include a feature that assigns record access to individuals based on their involvement in the incident, rather than solely on who reported it. This could involve:

  • Allowing the reporting party to link the record to all individuals involved.
  • Automatically granting these individuals the necessary permissions to access and complete inspections

This approach ensures that all relevant parties can engage with their incident documentation seamlessly, even if they were not the original reporters.
