In this release, you can now:

  • Set up automated reminders for credential renewals, empowering team members to keep their qualifications up-to-date with ease.

What you’ll love about this new functionality

Navigating the complexities of credential management presents a unique set of challenges. From ensuring regulatory compliance to maintaining operational readiness, the stakes are high. The administrative burden of tracking and managing expiring licenses, certifications, and qualifications can be overwhelming, often detracting from strategic focus and innovation.

That’s why we're excited to introduce a new feature that will transform credential management from a reactive task into a proactive, streamlined process. Team members will now receive an email notification 90 days, 30 days, and on the expiration date before their credentials expire.

Key benefits:

  • Accountable and empowered teams: Automated reminders nudge team members to take charge of their own credential renewals, fostering more proactive engagement.
  • Reduced administrative workload: Say goodbye to manual tracking and follow-ups. This update lightens your administrative load, freeing up time for more strategic tasks.
  • Continuous compliance: Stay ahead of expirations with timely reminders, ensuring uninterrupted compliance and operational readiness.

Hi,

This is a step in the right direction, however it would be fr more useful if the notification was either sent to the admin team or both the user and the admin team. This would provide greater visibility to our team ensuring the user is in fact renewing their quals.

Cheers

Agree with you on this Popey.  I can see this as a great feature.

As a company, we have a team of directly employed staff who we arrange all their training for (i.e the individual user doesn’t arrange this themselves), and also self-employed staff who responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining their OWN training/ quals.

When a notification that something is due to expire is sent out to the end user, it would be good if an admin in the company could also be notified at the same time.  This would serve either as a prompt that we need to arrange training for our directly employed staff, OR remind us to prompt our sub-contractors to book their training.

Thanks :)

Hey @POPEY and @emmashuff,

Thanks for your feedback! I hear where you’re coming from here and certainly see the value in including the admin in the notification that’s sent. I have raised this with the Product team who are aware of this feedback, however have clarified that this isn’t on our immediate roadmap at this stage - apologies for the inconvenience 🙏🏽 Whilst this isn’t the most ideal solution, I wanted to mention that we are about to release Export of Credentials to CSV which could help admins etc, filter their organisation for better Credential management. Thanks again for your comments!

Agree with the above comments regarding administrator notifications. Empowering employees to keep track of their credentials is great, but for most organisations to be able to move their whole credentials management process inside Safety Culture (which is something I think we would all love to do) then having expiry notifications sent to an administrator or training manager would need to happen. Currently, they would manually need to check expiry dates at defined periods which, whilst that could be built into a process, it doesn’t really fit in with all the other brilliantly automated functions on the platform.
