Hello, first time posting here….

 

I am currently having limited flexibility in scheduling my team’s 5S inspections, which must occur on a monthly frequency.  For this particular 5S program, I have set up certain users on Lite Seats to conduct inspections of certain areas of our facility and create Actions for follow-up and resolution.

 

I am aware of the rule that grants only 1 inspection per month for users in Lite Seats, but this somewhat limits my flexibility, as I prefer to custom schedule their inspections each month (i.e. one-offs) to offset various factors (dates falling on differing weekdays, production area changes, etc.).  For example, if a team member conducts an inspection on (say) the 21st day of the month, I am unable to assign their next inspection until my plan renews (which is on the 18th of each month), when I would rather assign that same user their next inspection earlier in the next month (on the 17th or earlier) at my discretion; however I understand that under the current scheme this is not allowed.  I could upgrade these team members to Full Seats but this would be at a much more significant expense and I’m not ready to go down that road just yet.

 

I think it would be more optimal if the “1 inspection per month” rule for Lite Seat users could be granted anywhere in the calendar month, as opposed to waiting until after the plan renews.  Just being able to have that flexibility would make a huge difference for those like me who operate in a similar way.  I was wondering if anyone else has encountered something similar to this and if there have been any related discussions or actions.

I appreciate you sharing your comments - you bring up good point. I can see how the flexibility to schedule inspections at your discretion within a calendar month would be beneficial, especially with all the factors you need to consider like shifting dates and production changes.

I’m too am curious to hear if others have run into similar challenges with Lite Seats. I will pin this post to our Community homepage to see if any of our other users might be experiencing a similar situation. In the meantime, I’ll definitely pass this feedback along to the product team to consider. Hopefully, there’s a way we can find a solution that balances flexibility without requiring the full upgrade to Full Seats 🙏🏽
