Have an option to be able to add users and user groups to course collections.
In  my instance I wanted to share the courses with clients to evaluate and see the progress we are making.

By dropping 10-20 courses into a collection i assumed that there would be a way to give the User Group simple access to the collection by assigning it similar to SC Training but I have been told that this cannot be done.

If this is the case then this feature would help myself and maybe others

Hi Johnny,

Have you discovered our Paths feature? I’d recommend organising this training into a freeform path and sharing it with the relevant learners. Keen to hear your thoughts on this!

Course collections are intended more for organising courses on the admin side. In future we would like to replace course collections with a traditional folder management system to simplify it.

Thanks

Giustina

I understand your reply and it does sound better.

But does the same issue arise with Paths - such a user and group access?

The query was about Course collections not working in the right way.

Can we ensure please that it works whether it is a folder or a path?

Hi Johnny, yes you can assign groups a path. You’re very right in pointing out the the system is too inflexible in not supporting assigning directly to individuals. We’re investing a lot in this and are first focussed on enabling customers to assign courses directly to individuals.
