We find the action module in SC very good. It enables our operators to identify a machine maintenance activity at any time or at the daily prestart, or managers to designate an action to an asset in the future. Similarly actions are created for many other SC inspections forms in Quality, Safety, environmental or HR management.

Whilst all actions have a collaborative nature and as the action evolves, at all steps one person is usually responsible for the outcome. At the moment it is not clear which individual user (one person) is responsible for an action outcome.

It should be that all users, groups designated can follow an action but any point on the journey one individual must be responsible to close out the action.

Can you help ?

This would be great if there could be a way to identify precisely who is responsible for completing an action whilst allowing others to follow it via the action chat.

Hi @Peter Longstaff,

Thanks for the post in the community! The request you have made as I understand it makes good sense. Is there any chance you would be up for a quick call to better understand how your business uses Actions, whether it be stand alone or generated from inspection and then the access rules on the back of this. The more we can understand the problem, the better the chance we can scope up solutions that meet the need.

Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew, it would be good to chat, how about a quick teams meeting if you could send me an invite at 10:00am this morning.

My email you should have, otherwise let me know.

Hi Bianca, that's such positive Xmas good news, any thoughts on when it might get introduced, ballpark only.

Hey @Peter Longstaff, really glad to hear you’re excited about this one! In terms of development, while we can’t commit to specific timelines at this stage due to current team capacity and resources, we’re optimistic that we can address parts of this within the next year. That said, we’re being cautious not to make promises we can’t keep, however we’ll aim to provide further updates as we move into the new year. Thanks in advance for your understanding 🚀
