Please see which templates are using a particular global response set.

We have had a few cases where one of the following happened

  • Someone used a global response set in a new template, and then the owner/creator changed the list because they needed to update it for their templates, and it no longer worked in the new templates
  • The owner/creator added a response to a global response set that did not make sense for all the templates they were using it in
  • We had a request to change a global response set, and we are not sure if we can because we don’t know what forms use it

Hi @ldutton,

Thank you for your post! I’m sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with GRS.

Regarding who can update the GRS, access can be restricted using the "Templates: Global Response Sets" permission. This ensures that only designated employees can make updates to the list.

That’s a great point about highlighting which templates use specific GRS as a response type. I’ll bring this feedback to the team and follow up with you once we begin working on it.

Thanks again for sharing your insights!

Karen

HI @ldutton,

I was speaking to a colleague and he suggested a ‘hack’ to see what templates the GRS are assigned to. If you click ‘delete’ on the Global Response Set, you can see what templates are assigned to that set.

I understand this isn’t the best experience, but it will get you what you need before we implement a proper fix.

Thanks,

Karen
