We often find the same issues while conducting different audits. This forces us to create the same actions twice (or more) leaving us with an overcrowding list of actions that we have to analyse and close one by one.

It would be extremely helpful if we could link/utilise an existing action to a new action, no matter which template it comes from.

In the templates and inspections there should be a note when you start an inspection with the same template so I get your issue.

It's quite an interesting query

I think there may always be repeat or similar actions based upon the personnel that may undertake an inspection there fore I do not feel there is a 100% solution to this.

One thing I would consider is using labels more when creating actions as a tag. This anchor will then categorise the action and may assist.

Then if you look at the actions and group by the tags then this may show similar action types.

The thing that I would query is that if an action has been created on one site and then on another or different area then the key is about the action itself and does it require remedial work.

Then there is the communication process across different areas. I would be looking at things like SC training in a very simple format to close some of these out as a learning event or by using Head-Up to the personnel so they can feedback and acknowledge and this is the evidence across the company of effective closure.

Sorry I do not have a full solution but I think it is about limiting and ensuring categories for actions as this imo will give you a smaller more manageable groups.

Hope this is of some help?
