Heads up is great for getting messages sent out to people and for an acknowledgment that they have understood it. It has a lot of features in place for what I would call a policy system, such as being able to attach PDF and receive information that people have acknowledged the it and send remembers to people who have not acknowledged it.
It would be good if there was a box which allowed you to toggle the heads up to a policy which would;
- Ask the user to digital sign instead of just saying acknowledged
- Manage documents within heads-up relating to policy’s - for instance a fire safety policy gets reviewed yearly the ability for heads up to alert the creator/manger of the policy that the policy is up for renewal and to upload a new document to send to staff
- Being able to assign policy’s to groups which when a new members get added to the group they automatically get the policy’s - For many policy’s they relate to specific things such as a mini bus policy only affects the people who drive mini buses, making sure new mini bus staff sign the policy easily
- Continuous heads up would be the best way of running 2 & 3 which once a heads up has been signed/acknowledged they user does not need to see again until it is updated such as when policy changes which then means all the user needs to resign the policy. Or when a new user is added to a group a policy is assigned, this would mean they receive the policy without someone having to digital through files or the organisation intranet to find it.
