I am not sure if there is a solution for this but after being on chat it appears that there maybe a gap on the SC system.
We are getting complaints of too many notifications.
So when looking at the settings for this (please correct me if i am wrong).
They are individual for each user and can be amended by the user and by admin.
When setting our org up we did this with notification we thought at a good setting for personnel.
We have recently how been getting complaints internally with regards to notifications and emails that personnel have been getting and the time they get them.
The last bit can be addressed internally as part of our wellbeing programme (when people actually apply this)
So we assumed after looking at this that we could simply from an higher level change this such as at site level.
Or in Groups or at the permission sets.
However i have been informed that this is not the way it works and basically this is an individual setting that can be changed by the user or by admin by accessing the org, person and then settings.
So my challenge or query is…
- Is this actually correct?
- Please correct me if this is not the case.
If it is then improvements are required in order that when setting the system at an higher level that groups, sites and Permission sets come into play for the thought process.
As a Safety Specialist what really concerns me is irrelevant information or non-stop comms and notifications as it ends up turning into a switch off and ignore mentality for personnel.
So again if this is available please advise.
If not then can we have this looked at so that orgs can be set up to not only reduce notifications but ensure that they are the right ones, sent at the right time for the right reasons.
Remember that we are in the process of also adding Behaviour Based Safety in our org and all of the above needs to work for this in order that we can drive the leadership and inclusion to keep our key resource (personnel) engaged.
