I did ask this a while ago but want to follow up.

I am a safety specialist in the UK helping companies by assisting with and building the integrated systems.

SC is one of those but as part of the integration side unless i have missed it there is something missing that I would like to challenge SC to resolve or show me where the solution is.

 

Different companies have different working patterns which can even be down to an individuals work pattern.

What i would like ( a bit like Calendars etc ) is something in the Org setting that give general hours of work for the company or driving down to groups and sites etc.

Then when any internal notification is in place by the SC portal it sends it at a convenient time - unless it is tagged or labelled as critical or similar as an over ride.

 

The reason is my teams are complaining that they are getting lots of out of hours notifications or at time that are 3am etc when they work daylight std hours.

If you can look into this then it will fit into our wellbeing rollout that is trying to apply a better approach to employees and supply chain as required for work life balance.

Hi @jonnyg 

I’d suggest that you ask your colleagues to put a ‘do not disturb’ setting on their devices so that it doesn’t message them at 3am if they work usual hours.

From a wellbeing standpoint, this is something I encourage my colleagues (and my kids!) to do from a more holistic perspective, it mutes their Instagram reels at a time that they set and gives them a signpost to turn their phone off. 

However, if you have any critical alerts set up in Issues, for example - this will override the ‘do not disturb’ on their device.

We advise personnel to do that as normal, however it would be better if the system was automated based on the companies working hours.

I would definitely welcome this addition to the platform!
For some reason, SC sends out a bunch of reminder emails at 1am in the morning each night in the UK!
