Pre-fill data from previous inspections in new inspections

Greeting.

I would make an inspection template that would be used to check, for example, the electricity meter once a week and record it.

My question is, is it possible to withdraw data from the completed inspection template and use that data to calculate the difference in consumed current?

So for example last week it was read 1234 kWh (this data is saved in the finished templeta) today I read 1245 kWh. And then to record today's read state and the difference in consumption (means 11kWh) in the new templet.

I sincerely thank you for your time and effort.

Hi @Robert12345 thanks so much for reaching out!

What you’ve described isn’t currently possible however it’s a fantastic innovative idea and we have had a select number of customers bring this idea up in the past.

While we don’t have concrete plans and a date where we might be able to bring a solution like this to the product, we would like to execute at some point in the future and we will be sure to connect with you during the product development process on that.

All the best,
Paddy

We have clients in the fuel industry and they need to capture daily meter and dip readings. Having yesterday’s closing reading transferred to today’s opening reading would be great. These readings are currently captured in SC and then retyped on an excel sheet. I would think that this would be similar to sensor readings. Then exporting this data as an Excel sheet for further formatting would be great.

Thanks so much @roekies for contributing to this and adding more detail and use-cases to the idea of pre-filling an Inspection with the previous Inspections data.

I agree with this idea. We have a couple sites collecting data off machines. They use PowerBI to see the trend, but they would also like to see during the inspection how much it changed from the last time.
