After a really successful week using lone worker, this morning I was thinking about access levels. It hadn’t occurred to me until now.

I checked the permissions sets and noted that a standard seat was automatically set to be able to manage profiles. I changed all permission levels to just have access for checking in and out except for admin.

One question I have is viewing lone workers. Can I assume that only admin are able to see the location of all lone workers?

Hi Andrew,

Only people with oversight of the ‘Group’ will have access to visualise team members in the tool. People who are not assigned to that group will not have visibility over any team members when working. This means that for individuals in multiple groups, they are able to choose who has visibility over them, as well as who receives their duress alerts based on escalation chains. Of course, they will appear on the map only when a job is in progress.

I’d be interested to hear your ideal state.

Thanks Nick.

Something else I picked up this morning. Using lone worker in the app, I tried to change the start location. I moved the pin and clicked on use location. It wouldn’t log the  new location.

Hey Andrew, Thanks for the feedback on the location. This feels like a bit of a bug on our side. I’ll raise with the team and get this addressed.
