Happy Friday and thanks for the nudge.

Can confirm the feature is visible in one of my client tenants. We have set up some job types, categories and escalation for testing. 

If I could make a suggestion - can you update the knowledge base article to

  • highlight job types, codes and escalation settings have to be configured first 
  • show how users “start lone work’ on the iOS app from the + button 

I know its early access but it would be amazing if the lone worker roadmap could include journey management capability in the future (route planning, trip risk assessment, check in points etc).

Happy to have a call to discuss our feedback from testing.

Hi @Bianca.Taylor ,

I can confirm it is available and is working for us. I have configured some jobs and escalations and have run several internal demos. Everyone is very impressed and we are looking to roll it out within three of our Engineering departments as a pilot.

I had been holding back until the feature was available on iOS as we have a mix of devices, but now that it is, I can start the pilots.

Great to hear positive feedback. If there are any suggested enhancements to the tool, even this early, they would be welcomed!

@Johnny Meehan - I found the error and you should be able to see it in your account now. 

@John Smale - appreciate your feedback here. It would be great to set up a call - I’ll reach out via email. We can discuss roadmap etc. on that call and get some thoughts.

Going well on this end!  We have about 6 folks testing it in mountainous areas, rural areas with limited cell coverage and even on a ferry in the Boston harbor.  The two suggestions we had and have mentioned to the team are:

  • A pop-up notification to the user when it is time to check in and if they have forgotten to do so. This will prevent an unnecessary automatic panic alert from the user forgetting to check in.
  • Text chat functionality for the user to give relevant details (if they are able) during a panic.  For example, if an active robbery is in progress, the user has been locked in a room or cooler or to share the specific location that aid is needed (We are currently testing it with employees who work in walk-in freezers in our commissary in the event they become locked in or incapacitated while in the freezer.  The GPS will give the street address of the building but the text messaging would allow the user to give a specific location within the building.

Hi Team,

I cannot see the Lone Worker within either web app or the mobile app. Could you please look into this being activated please. 

Also regarding this new lone worker is this planned to replace the existing standalone SHEQSY lone worker system? We have been using this previously and has worked well but a few issues with the existing SHEQSY system.

Hey ​@chris.collins - I’d be happy to discuss your experiences / challenges with SHEQSY at a time that suits best, and would be interested in hearing (after some time in the SafetyCulture lone worker tool) your thoughts on where we should take it.

 

To answer your other question, no - we’re not looking at replacing SHEQSY with this feature,, but it should solve similar problems for customers as SHEQSY does, but under the same roof as everything else in SafetyCulture

 

I’ll enable this in your SafetyCulture account now, and will send you an email with configuration instructions.
