Hello,

We manufacture and install commercial and industrial water tanks, once we have installed them we try and create maintenance agreements to service the tanks. We also service other company tanks.

I am trying to set up an asset register or similar in safety culture to track our tanks and remind us when they are due for service.

 

For example we may have installed 3 x tanks at 123 George St in Sydney, Australia

I have the following questions 

Can I use sites and assets for this purpose? i.e. 123 George St would be the site and we would have 3 assets, tank 1, tank 2 and tank 3

How do I set a schedule to remind us maybe a month in advance when the assets are due for service? Can I do this via email?

Is there any Safety Culture representatives who can provide us with training on this?

just a little warning if you using schedules and assets

when you schedule an a inspection at your site ‘123 George St ‘ for asset “tank 1” if your employee start the inspection and then accidentally changes the tank in the form when he’s completing it there is no way for you to track that he changed it from say tank 1 to tank 3 and no way for him to find out what it was originally scheduled for.  This may seen like a moot point but because if he’s on site he should know what tank he’s working on but we had cases where they would start the inspection in the coffee room and accidentally change the asset and then have no clue they were inspecting the wrong this asset.
