Hi Steve, thanks for your suggestion, we are definitely interested in helping companies manage their assets, including activities like regular field inspections, fault mangagement and routine servicing.
Could you share some more details about what tool you use for plant mangagement today and what are the key gaps in the SafetyCulture platform for your use case today?
Hi Steve,
Great ideas, not sure if any of this will help, but we have a few work arounds which work for some of these.
- Generate a QR code for each plant that bring you to prestart page to conduct
There are QR codes availible for each assset. The QR code will take you to the asset home page, where you can select inspection. Admitedly then you have to filter for the relevant pre-start inspection, but when you do it will pre populated with the asset form the QR code.
- Ability to identify faults for prestart inspection and provide a result to the operator based on severity of the fault (i.e Safe to Operate, Non critical issue, Do not operate
This can be done thorugh the logic application to some degree. We have catagory A,B,C faults with logice set up. It any Cat A faults are identified, logic prompts operator to not use the plant and report to fault in the system and to the supervisor.
- Ability to store/attach documents (OEM manual, Risk Assessments etc to a machine library)
This can be done under the documentes tab, under each asset. Works well. We have plant risk assessments, manufacturers manuals etc uploaded against each asset. This alos gives fingertip access to the operator in the field.
One other thing we do, is allow duplicaion of pre-starts by users. Whilst this could be seen as problematic, due to potential incrased tick in flick, it does help with the following. We request operators record low level faults in the comment section, instead of raising an action for everything. This way, each time the pre-start is duplicated, the informaiton is carried over. When the equipment goes for a service, the mechanic can look at the last pre-start and see all the faults. Once the machine is serviced, the mechanic starts a new pre-start and the reported faulst drop out of the pre-start.
I would also like to see scheduling based off hours/ kms of our plant and equipment.
Hope this is useful.
Cheers
Key gaps / ideas
- Synchronising hour meter
- Integration with assets to have option to conduct tailored pre-operational inspection for individual plant
- Ability to identify faults for prestart inspection and provide a result to the operator based on severity of the fault (i.e Safe to Operate, Non critical issue, Do not operate
- Ability to store/attach documents (OEM manual, Risk Assessments etc to a machine library)
- Overview on Assets tab of status of Plant Prestarts which sync when completed
- Track issues which are identified on Prestarts for maintenance scheduling
- Service Schedules and alert when Service is upcoming / overdue depending on the interval setup for the plant (500hrs/10,000km for example)
- Generate a QR code for each plant that bring you to prestart page to conduct
Cheers Austin
Hey Austin do you have telematics on your asset - leveraging the Inauro platform into SC we can solve for most of this
