External Training Content

Has anyone identified a way to pull in external content into SC Training?  I’m not referring to PowerPoints, PDFs, etc. but rather other systems.  For example, if you subscribe to systems like KnowBe4, LinkedIn Learning, Open Sesame, etc., it would be great if that content could be added as a course in SC Training natively, so it’s delivered and tracked in one place. I know that some content providers have SCORM exports, so you could use a SCORM slide type and upload it that way.  If they don’t, do you just make a “dummy” course with a link to the external content?

Hi Corey!

Our recommendation is to use SCORM whenever possible for seamless integration. Alternatively, you can explore the External URL slide template. However, please note that it might require learners to log in to the external LMS, and some websites have security measures against being loaded in an iframe, which could impact its functionality.

The External URL slide does not work as intended.  Both LinkedIn Learning course links and links to cloud SharePoint sites results in a gray page that states “refused to connect.”  This means only things publicly accessible without login work.  We have no way to train on content that is not natively in SafetyCulture slides.  This is a huge limitation, as there are 3rd party providers we’ll still need to use for content.
