Hi,

I am looking to roll out Safety Culture across the whole company to conduct pre-shift checks on plant & machiney.

A lot of our staff who will be completing the pre-shift checks do not have company email addresses. Will this be an issue?

I was hoping that we would not have to use any personal email addresses.

Many thanks.

Hey there – thanks for reaching out! 😊

Right now, SafetyCulture does require an email address for each user, but we're actively working on a feature to support "email-less users," allowing logins via usernames instead. We don't have an exact launch date yet, but expect it to be available later this year.

Would you like us to add you to our research cohort so you can get early access when it's ready? Also, we'd love to hear your ideas on what kinds of usernames might work best for your team!

In the meantime, a common workaround is creating dummy company email addresses using a consistent pattern, such as [EmployeeID]@sc.yourcompany.com. Just make sure these dummy addresses aren't real accounts for security reasons. Since invites won't reach these dummy emails, you'll need to manually set initial passwords and ask users to update them upon first login.

Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions!

Cheers, Evan
