Hi, I am setting up asset tagging and I know we can generate our own QR codes however I have been given 1000 company QR codes to use. Has anyone found a way to use their own QR code in assets

Hey @Shacark - good question! If your existing QR codes are numbers or strings (i.e. a serial number) then you can make that the display name or the unique ID, and then it should populate the asset search bar with that string (in assets, inspections and/or actions) and locate that asset. This won’t work however if the QR code/s are URL’s as that is where the camera will send them.

If these company QR codes go to URLs managed by the author’s company - then they could maybe reconfigure their URLs to redirect to the URL that the Safety Culture QR code leads to (that being the asset in the system).
