Hi all,

Not sure if this should be a Question, Discussion or Idea but keen to understand if you can have any linked actions to an inspection that is being deleted, automatically removed/deleted as well?

We have a client that is an intensive user of Actions (100,000+). Over time, some inspections are deemed incorrect so they need to be deleted including any associated or linked Actions.

If this is not possible, perhaps a pop-up option that asks the user if they want to keep or delete any actions linked to the inspection (that is being deleted)?

Thanks,

Hey @Rob Lange! At this time, once the Action is created from the Inspection, it is a unique Action item (that’s simply linked to an inspection). If an Inspection is deleted that contains a linked Action, the expected behaviour is that the Action will remain - and will not be automatically deleted.

If ever the inspection where an action is created from gets deleted, this will be shown upon viewing the action from the Actions tab -

The workaround that might be useful for you is to utilise Templates filter in the Actions tab so you can easily delete the actions created within inspections in a specific template -

I hope this helps!

Thanks @Bianca.Taylor .. it has helped in understanding that it is expected behaviour.

We will look to build out the customer’s required workflow (ie “do not bring in Actions from deleted Inspections”) through our analytics data model layer using SafetyInsights.

So all good.

Thanks,

Rob
