Hello SafetyCulture Community!

We’re here to chat about all things improvement, but we want to get to know each other a bit better first, so please introduce yourself by sharing (1) your name, (2) a little about you and where you’re from, and (3) how you use the SafetyCulture platform.

I’ll go first!

Hello, I’m Julian.

I’ve been with SafetyCulture for two years, focused on educating, enabling, and empowering our community of customers and partners – and I love it!

I live in a small suburb on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia – surrounded by bush and rivers – with my wife, baby, and puppy.

At SafetyCulture, we use our platform for facilities management – conduct workplace inspections, create actions, and report issues. We also train staff in areas like cyber security and sales enablement, and send important messages with Heads Up, like this video from Craig Tiley, CEO of Tennis Australia, for the 2023 Australian Open!

I look forward to learning from and connecting with many of you here.

Introduce yourself in the replies below ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Sincerely,

Julian

Hello, I’m John Gamble.

I am from Yorkshire England and I am a HS&E Specialist.

I am a freelance consultant but currently just have a few clients that I assist.

I have been using SC since 2012.

My main area of work is Construction.

I can see over the coming months and years that my push for standardisation for QHSE will be by introducing other larger corporate clients to the success that is Safety Culture.

My objectives are fully integration not just for SC but for it to connect to all systems, remove all paperwork and be inclusive for every contractor on all project by empowerment via the SC system.

This will include SC training and all the other linking systems such as Assets and soon Inductions and Contractors.

This in the UK construction sector IMO is a game changer.

I envisage a major expansion in the next few years as I introduce SC to more Clients as an integrated solution.

Regards John

Hello - My name is Michael (Mike Byerley and I am located in Mississauga Ontario Canada, close to Toronto. I have been in the Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety business for over 25 years. I now work as a consultant and currently have clients in the food manufacturing business, schools and sports venues. You may have seen the Safety Culture article featuring MLSE Sports and Entertainment.

Back in 2018 I was looking for an easier and better way to manage onsite reviews and found Safety Cultures site. I gave it a try and was hooked. Use it now for all of my clients for food safety reviews as well as cleaning reviews in warehousing and hospitals. (BTW I don't call what I do as an audit because that doesn't always have a good context. I call my visits reviews, because as well as pointing out the not so good non-conformities I also like to point out the good ones. I also do teaching with the non-conformities so the issue should not come up again.

I have recommended the Safety Culture site to many people and businesses and they love it. I am looking forward to sharing my experience and tips.

Have a great day.

Cheers, Mike

Good morning, Everyone!

I am Jeff Hanson with United Infrastructure Group, (UIG), a heavy-civil bridge builder operating in the southeastern United States. I have led the HSE & Risk Management Team here for the last 14 years + and am very excited to be a part of Safety Culture and to share in the Better invitation to Nashville soon.

UIG has made a significant investment in Safety Culture and we have zeroed in on the Training and Inspection tools supported by templates, documents, and analytics. With more than 800 employees, Safety Culture is now a one-stop shop for Safety Management and Training that captures all things related to Inspections, (Operational Safety Review, Near Miss Reports, Incident Reports, etc.), and Training.  While we continue to tweak analytics, we are strongly encouraged by the data and outcomes which are presented.

A special thanks to Safety Culture for visiting with us in Great Falls, SC last week.  Meeting SC Staff and Account Reps face-to-face is important and fosters opportunities for continuous improvement and development.  We look forward to meeting everyone and sharing in some fun while in Nashville!

Have a great week UNITED IN SAFETY! - Jeff
