Improve your fleet management with Samsara, x SafetyCulture

Improve your fleet management with Samsara, x SafetyCulture

In this release, you can now:

  • Seamlessly connect Samsara with SafetyCulture Assets to get all your vehicle details in one place, and updated automatically.

What you’ll love about this new functionality

As a Samsara user, you know the importance of up-to-date data for driving efficiency and optimizing your fleet operations. Our latest release has made it even easier for you to stay on top of your fleet management by integrating Samsara with SafetyCulture Assets.

Through integration, you can automatically create your Samsara vehicles as assets in the SafetyCulture platform to give you a comprehensive view of your entire fleet and ensure your vehicles are well-maintained. Easily perform scheduled or one-off inspections, and create recurring or follow-up actions, all in one place.

Any changes made to your vehicles in Samsara will instantly sync to their corresponding assets in SafetyCulture, so you can trust that your vehicle details are always up-to-date.

How to get started with the new release

Interested in learning how to connect Samsara with SafetyCulture? Read our support article here to get started. For any additional help, reach out to our Support Team or your dedicated Customer Success Manager, and they’ll be happy to assist.

Sounds great. Does the integration work both ways? For example, do vehicle inspections get uploaded as pdf’s to the samsara vehicle record?

Hey @Ben,

Thanks for your question. Currently the integration is a one-way sync, so Samsara is the source of truth and any assets there are represented in the SC app. But it’s a great idea to have the inspection reports sync back. I’ve passed the feedback to our integrations team. I can see how useful this would be, so perhaps they would consider extending the off-the-shelf integration to work like this in the future.

In the meantime, the API's for inspections (and most of our features) are public, so anyone with enough technical knowledge could use them to send inspection reports to any other system they use.

Another option could be speaking to your account manager. Some of our pricing plans come with additional technical support where you’d get access to a customer success engineer to build customised integrations for you.

Hope this helps.
