Get more control over asset visibility across your team

In this release, you can now:

  • Set more granular access controls for your assets

What you’ll love about this new functionality

Since launching Assets last year, we’ve been amazed to see it being one of the fastest adopted new products in the SafetyCulture platform! But our work as always continues to make Assets an even more impactful tool to connect to your operations - now even more suited for larger organizations.

That’s why we’ve released a new, more granular access permission for Assets. Built to empower these key roles with the necessary tools and information, while also maintaining a streamlined and secure asset management across your organization.

Now, only users with the ‘Access’ assets permissions will be able to see the list of assets and then be able to dig into the assets profile. By default, the ‘Access’ permission will be turned on.

However, it is important to note that even without the ‘Access’ permission, your team members can still select assets in the asset picker when working on inspections or actions.

Asset access permission is perfect for anyone who needs detailed insights and control over asset management, such as those that oversee asset usage, maintenance, and performance monitoring.

Guten Tag,

es wäre hilfreich, wenn die Zugriffrechte über die Standortzuordnung erfolgen könnte. Wie auch bei den Aktionen. Somit würden die Standorte auch nur Ihre Assets sehen und nicht die des ganzen Unternehmens.

Hi Netti,

I popped your reply in Google translate and it converted is as follows:

Good day - It would be helpful if access rights could be determined via location mapping. As with the actions. This means that the locations would only see your assets and not those of the entire company.

I’m presuming that you’re using our “sites” feature as “locations?” If so, we’re about to start work on a solution that will let you apply access to assets based on the sites you’ve set up.

This should be out later in the year.

Cheers,

Duncan
