Unsure if this is a planned feature or not (or if I am overlooking a feature that exists!), but a due date for revision / update of documents would enhance the document module.

Version control is excellent, but without being able to set revision timeframes we are left needing to keep a secondary register with this information.

Also, Documents isn’t an option to select in the Product Area when creating a post!

Hey @Matt19Fuller - thanks for raising this! I’ve checked in with the team and they have confirmed that Revision/Expiry dates is something that they will be addressing, hopefully within Q2 of next year. I will provide further updates as they come 👍🏽

I get requests for this as well.  There should be an (optional) field on documents for expiration date and separately for review date.  Then, by folder, I would like to be able to setup notifications for specific people to be notified when documents inside that folder are about to reach the expiration or review date.

To add to this, if the document has been replaced, it should ask for a new expiration and review date. If we determine that the existing document is still valid, we should be able to mark that it was reviewed and replacement is not necessary.  In this case, it would automatically update the review date to the current date.
