Not sure if this is a question or a suggestion but time will tell 😁

We are commencing to utilise Safety Culture Assets in our organisation and I was wondering if it is possible to include a link to a training package in the Assets information page.

An example scenario would be instead of having Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on the wall next to a drill press the users would scan the QR code on the Drill Press for the Asset information which includes a training link, they follow the link and complete the training within Safety Culture training which is then recorded against their user information.

As with most industries at times we have trouble with the recording of this type of training for smaller plant items etc.

This is a great idea!!

Thanks for sharing this@Leith!

Indeed, it’s not possible right now, but it’s a great idea as @POPEY has called out 💡 Let me go ahead and convert this post to an idea!

For now, a workaround that might work is using training course deep links in asset profiles’ text fields. For example, you can grab a course’s ID from the URL: https://app.safetyculture.com/training-manage/course/64193524a71d8d24827ef3c4/edit

Then, you can construct the link using the course’s ID like so: https://app.safetyculture.com/trainings/course/64193524a71d8d24827ef3c4 – this link should work for both web app and mobile app 🔗

In fact, we just released a small change today to the final pop-up screen after you publish a course, you can copy the link or download the QR code (which has the link embedded) and share it with your team.

Admittedly, links in asset profile text fields aren’t actually clickable as links, but this is also something that the team plans to tackle in the next few months, so stay tuned 🙏🏼

I hope this helps in the meantime!
