We are using this now on all of our projects.
It is currently good but I think it could be better by having an expansion method so instead of the current 3 choices of content for the asset there are more options like you have within the inspection templates.
As an example
Companies that are leasing or hiring lots of equipment on a regular basis.
In the list of choices if there was the ability to add some kind of logic then this would be a massive change to allow items that are off hired to be auto archived and then then controlled.
So if the item was to be unarchived then this could only be done by a person with Manage Assets Permissions.
Currently personnel that are managing assets can create them and should be able to archive imo without having manage asset rights.
So for an item then to be unarchived becomes a unique scenario and become autonomous for asset management.
I do understand this is not simple and it could even be something simple that could be added when a label is added at category creation stage.
This then gives better control over the assets.
Linked to people that manage it use them.
Please feedback any thoughts on this?
