Managing external contractor (user) access to templates at scale

Hi,

We operate a permitting system for our sub-contractors. It works extremely well. The only trouble is the increasing list of external users for the templates as they are listed individually. Is there any way to group the external users into a group? 

Hi Andrew! Gotcha, I always give others access using my phone, way easier to just tick multiple emails that I want to give access to. 


Yeah, I tend to do it this way too, because I can sync my work contacts with the address book, so it makes it easier to pick them out.

If I understand correctly, there’s currently no way to put external users you’ve given template access to into groups. But I can see this as a problem as companies scale indeed! So let’s create this as an idea and pop it on our Product team’s roadmap :)

You’re right, there’s currently no way to group external users. 

I am however, in the process of researching how SafetyCulture can support contractors/subcontractors and would love to hear more about your current permitting system and use cases. Please let me know if you’d be interested in jumping on a call.

I would love to share the permit to work system we operate with you. We also have our contractors complete an end of day inspection which is an incredibly powerful tool.
