Hi all. 

We are looking to introduce the lone worker feature and see that the user needs to be minimum of a lite seat. 

How are sites managing contractors that just need access to the lone worker feature?

 

I assume you have some free lite seats that you assign to contractors when they require to use this function. 

Currently we would only use training, credentials and lone worker for our contractors.

you are unable to use lone worker with a free seat. All of our users have a lite seat at a minimum as we use training, lone worker and issues company wide. 

Those that complete inspections etc, obviously have full seats.

Thank you for your reply. Using it for employees is fine because they have either full or lite seats, however for contractors that may only come on site once or even monthly I do not want a pay for a lite seats for each one.

I believe I have 2 options

  1. Register each contractor using QR code as a guest, the manually changing seat to lite during there visit if lone working is required. We would have 2 or 3 floating lite seats for contractors.
  2. Use a company dedicated mobiles that the contractor uses when lone working is required. Either using a default user or the contractor’s login.
