We share templates with different users and groups. Quite often, when we need to share the completed inspections to more than one group, we add the details, click submit and it will remove on of the groups.
If you go back in and add the missing group into the access, when we submit it will remove the existing group and add the missing one in.
At other times it will allow us to add a few access rules using two groups but after completing a few, it will revert to only saving one of the two groups.

I am confused as to the question you have asked Andrew.
@Andrew Gabb
@jonnyg
I am referring to the groups we set up with access to the completed inspections. If I add more than one group into the access rights, quite often only one group will save
Right that is correct.
Apologies got confused with the question.
The access Group for templates is singular. However the access for inspections can be multiple groups.
You can also choose the dynamic option for - Based on site / group Membership - which does exactly what is says on the tin.
Jonny
Thanks @jonnyg
I am aware of that. The issue is, when I try to add more than one group into view completed inspections, quite often it will only save one of them. If I try adding a second back in, it will remove the first one and add the second.
Then it will work for a while and allow me to add more than one group. Then all of a sudden play up again. It is frustrating
I assumed that the group allowance was 1 ref templates.
However additional user or groups for inspections was kinda unlimited
Hi @Andrew Gabb ,
Thanks for this and I have been doing some chatting with my colleagues. Given this situation seems quite unique, I would suggesting talking this through via the chat with one of our support analysts. They have the ability to look in your account and see the problem.
Thanks Andrew!
@Jacob I think it is just a default Jacob. when adding access to a template it will only allow one group etc within template access.
It then allows more as you add access to the inspections.
Hope this helps
Ta Jonny
@Jacob and @jonnyg
Now I am getting somewhere. Talked to support, they tried the sharing to view a report to more than one group on one of my templates and replicated the error.
They have escalated the issue.
Hey @jonnyg and @Andrew Gabb
Great work team - we are getting there! Let us know how you go Andrew, keen to hear how it resolves.
Thanks so much.
thanks @Jacob
Had a response from the escalation. The engineer replicated it also. They do not know why but think it is because it is due to the fact that the template is externally shared.
Not ideal but they have a workaround of deleting the access rights for the external user and setting a new one up. Not convinced but I will try it.
I did respond that the most frustrating thing is when small updates are made to improve one thing, we seem the lost the functionality of something else.
a perfect example of this would be our permitting system. We were sharing permits to work with external users. They would complete them, hit the submit option and we would receive an instant text message and email notifying us. About 18 months ago it stopped working. Support spent a lot of time looking into it and couldn’t work it out. We put a workaround in that sees the external user submitting an action to review and approve the permit. This is far from ideal and is not 100%.
So frustrating but I guess we just have to live with it
Thanks @Andrew Gabb and I understand that would be super frustrating.
Hopefully engineering will be able to get this solved asap.
