But on the other hand, I wonder:

• Does simulation fully prepare someone for the stress of a real fire situation?

• Are employees more likely to take it seriously if there’s no real fire involved?

From what I’ve seen, fire safety training in general is still hugely important. Even having fire extinguishers around doesn’t mean people know how to use them properly in an emergency.

The flame simulation in Pyrosoft training units is highly realistic for training purposes, as it closely replicates the visual and behavioral aspects of real fire while remaining safely controlled. The system uses gas-fed or digitally enhanced flame effects that mimic natural fire movement, including flickering, spread, and heat glow. It also incorporates controlled heat output and artificial smoke to simulate reduced visibility conditions, although these are less intense and non-toxic compared to real fire environments. Trainers can adjust fire intensity, growth patterns, and emergency scenarios to create different learning situations. However, while the simulation effectively prepares trainees for real-life decision-making and response skills, it does not fully match the unpredictability and extreme conditions of actual fires.
